REPORT AN ABSENCE

Every single day counts towards your child’s learning at school and gives them the best chance to do well in life. Whānau play a big role in helping their child do well in school by making sure they attend every day and by letting the school know if they’re sick. Regularly attending school helps students to get the most out of their education.

The current government has indicated a strong focus on attendance, and this is supported by the local attendance services who help schools to support whānau. We appreciate your co-operation in ensuring that your Tamariki are at school for the whole day. School starts at 8.40am and finishes at 3.00pm and all parts of the day are important for your child to feel that sense of belonging and connected as well as fully understand what is going on in their classroom.
