Titoki School was established in 1907, renamed Titoki District High School in 1950 and Mangakahia Area School in 1976. Mangakahia Area School had its centennial in 2007.

CURRENT VACANCIES

PART TIME TE AO HAKA AND KAPA HAKA TEACHER  

 

We are seeking an exceptional teacher to join our team.  We are a well resourced year 1-13 school situated 25 minutes drive from Whangārei.  A passion for developing a localised curriculum and incorporating Te Ao Māori concepts into teaching are essential.  

 

Experience in teaching NCEA Te Ao Haka within a multi-level class is an advantage, as is the ability to teach kapa haka. This is a part time role, up to 0.5FTTE. Start date by negotiation.

CLEANER

 

We seek a hardworking person who can work as a cleaner at our school.  The ability to work individually to ensure that the school is kept clean, tidy and hygienic is crucial. Due to the nature of the role a high level of confidentiality is required. 

 

This is a permanent role of 3 hours per week during term time, up to 40 hours during each holiday break and 60 hours in the Summer holiday break. 

 

Rate of pay:  $25.38 per hour. Start date: Monday 2nd February 2026
